Wow...
I just wanted to thank all who came to The Brooksider show Saturday night. It was a blast. There was craziness in the audience, craziness on stage, and I counted 3 people that face-planted into the stage steps after having one too many drinky poos...shweet.
We were blessed to have guest appearances from John Henderson of KC/DC (the AC/DC Tribute band), as well as Tony Trevino of Rattle & Hum (the U2 Tribute band). Those guys are amazing.
There was creative tambourine activity as many body parts contributed to the rhythm of the music via the gluteus maximus, jumping, raised hands, and hair shaking. I am sending out a call to all tambourine players who can keep time...practice up for June 20th at Coach's...we need you. We are doing an EARLY SHOW Saturday night June 20th at Coach's on 148th and Metcalf starting at 9pm and going to 1am. Call your neighbors, bring your friends, give the fathers in your household the ultimate Father's Day gift...a night out drinking so that he has a reason to sleep in on Father's Day. Eh?
Saturday night...June 20th...Coach's on 148th and Metcalf...EARLY SHOW... 9pm...9PM...9PM...9PM!
See you there...

Hosted by Perpetual Change along with guest appearances by the Zeros, Rattle and Hum, Symetrix and other local friends to honor Perpetual Change Guitarist Jim Parker in his recovery from major surgery. (Appendix/Calf implants*) The members of Perpetual Change invite you to join us for this special event to assist Jim, Amy and the Parker family following Jim's surgery. If anyone has an appendix please bring one for Parker as his is now MIA courtesy of Shawnee Mission Medical Center. *Jim's elective calf implant surgery was part of a package deal (#3) and I hear he looks 10 years younger (despite the Popeye legs) and doctors say this should take 4 to 8 seconds off of his best 40 time (1 min 50 secs set at SMNW circa 1987). Great News -- Jim was released this week and is doing well but not up to Rocking the B-Sider just yet. With Jim recovering - we've elected to make this night an "All-Star Jam" with friends from The Zeros, Rattle and Hum, Symetrix, Lin Buck of Cyclamatic, and numerous other local friends/musicians. This will be a BIG NIGHT and is sure to be a memorable event with a Woodstock type atmosphere at the now infamous Brooksider. Bring your tie dies, love beads and for those of you still blessed with an appendix bring that too. Heck bring any organ you want just be at the Brooksider Saturday! PC, The Zeros, Rattle and Hum, Symetrix will have a Jagerbomb(or two) waiting for you. As an added bonus, our favorite concert photographer, Brian Rice, will be taking photos of the show and ensuing melee in the crowd. You've no doubt seen Brian's amazing photos of past shows and he has graciously offered to sell photos from the evening's festivities and donate all proceeds to the cause - thanks Brian!
Photos will be available through Brian's website or visit our friends page and follow the link to his site. Photos will be available through Brian's website or visit perpetual-change.com, click on the "friends" link, and follow the link to his site. See you next Saturday, March 28 and the Brooksider! - MBoz
PS - Lest you think that Jim was slacking when he went into the hospital, rest assured that he was not. In fact, he was spending his time working on his soon-to-be infamous PC fashion and accessories line. That's right, perpetual-change.com has gone ecommerce in a way only Jim is capable of dreaming up. The store is open, so be sure to visit the latest addition to our website at perpetual-change.com!

Saturday night January 24th at the 148th and Metcalf Coach's was amazing. For those of you inside, you turned the place upside down and it was an incredibly memorable night...thank you. Whoever left the thong panties with the words "Australian Kiss" on them can pick them up at the hostess stand. Devers...do you know about this? And for the folks who were not allowed in due to the capacity crowd, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience of coming all the way to the show and not being able to get in. Please understand this was driven strictly by the capacity limits outlined by the fire department. If it were up to the owner it would be one big party. He felt terrible. On a serious note, whoever took the bowling ball (and one of the bowling pins off the wall), if you could get those items back to Coach's, their bowling league starts next week.***** And finally, we will be finalizing when we will play at Coach's again soon. I'll update the website and send out an email to the email list. If you are reading this and are not on the email list, please sign up on the email list on our website. Thank you for your support, Jim *****NOTE: Coach's had a frantic patron with a Swingline stapler wearing his numbered team shirt, newly sprayed bowling shoes, button-popping-beer-gut, expandable polyester pants with matching hail-mary comb-over (worse than Bill Murray's in King Pin), looking to pick up the bowling ball Sunday. Whoever took it, please get it back before he freaks out, eats a whole case of beer nuts, slaps somebody with an entire skinless chicken, and starts looking for random Mormons to join his bowling team (anybody see KingPin or doodie in a urinal?). I have no problem with you people being slapped with a skinless chicken...its the Salmonella I am worried about. And...I have nothing against Mormons...I sat in their church and followed along for years until I realized they were spelling it with an extra "m" and figured out why I never belonged.

Hello, Thank you for coming out to our last show at FUEL in Overland Park. We had a great time, the place was alive, the people were crazy, and I kept being reminded of the movie Dirty Dancing with Patrick Swayze. Trust me...nobody put Baby in a corner . Check out the photos from the FUEL show . We are playing again at The Brooksider August 9th from 10pm to 2am. If you have never come to a show...get out, and come hang out! Who knows...you might just have a good time. If you HAVE come to a show, come out again! We sincerely appreciate it. Your presence makes the show! If you haven't been to our website, please visit us at www.perpetual-change.com. There you will find pictures from 1986, a video from SMNW Class of 1987's 20 year high school reunion, a one-way blog where I am the only one who gets to speak for now, music from Perpetual Change that needs to be re-recorded from the late 80's early 90's, the calendar of our upcoming shows, and a place to get beer, pizza, a cup of hot fat, warm apple pie, and some stories that happened one time at band camp. Yus keeding....
Please clear out your calendars and make it to the show Saturday night August 9th. There are a couple of you out there that I might have to call out if you don't make it out one of these days...Denise...Kourtney...hmmmm. I look forward to seeing you August 9th. Thanks!

Spring is officially here and PC is playing another rockin' night at the Brooksider on Saturday, May 17th. Come have a drink on the patio, catch a game or two, and stick around for the live show. As always the crowd will be hopping, the hops flowing, and the music thumping.
