Please join us at The Brooksider two days after Christmas on Saturday December 27th, 2008 at 10pm for "Perpetual Change's Festivus 2 Days After Christmas Show". If it ends up being anything like the night before Thanksgiving at The Brooksider, it should be a "Rager"...(any 'Major Rager' fans out there?). Festivus is an actual Holiday that has been celebrated since Ancient Rome...when Toga parties were a daily thing. Festivus has had many variations. We will be celebrating what I would coin as 'Frank Castanza's Festivus'. PLEASE WATCH THE FOLLOWING VIDEO CLIP. You will need this critical background so that you can come to the show prepared: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8g4Ztf7hIM Turn the sound up...kind of a bad recording The schedule for the night will go something like this: 8:30pm History of Festivus 8:45pm Discussion of the Meaning of Festivus 9:00pm Decorating of the Pole (just a test...no decorations) 9:15pm OPTIONAL: Pole Dancing (ladies only) 9:30pm Airing of Grievances 9:45pm Feats of Strength 10:00pm Festivus Miracle: Perpetual Change Live Please RSVP to nobody. Just show up with a chinchilla in your boxers, and a long list of people that have disappointed you...and why. See you two days after Christmas... -Jim Parker The Motionless Rocker "Swaying is good, movement is scary."
